Phone Calls

Spam and Scam Calls

Every day, telemarketers and scammers bombard us with phone calls. Not only are these calls annoying, they have costed Americans an estimated 8.9 billion dollars.

Number Databases

In response, some firms have composed databases of spam and scam phone numbers. However, these databases are ineffective due to a technique known as caller ID spoofing. Scammers and Spammers mask their own phone number.

Answering Bots

Others have created bots to answer and vet phone calls before forwarding them to the user. These applications, however, can lead to an increase of spam calls, as users who answer calls receive more in the future.

How Call Wall works

Call Wall takes an innovative approach to prevent spam and scam calls. The application has two primary methods of spam call detection.

First, Call Wall searches online databases of known scam or spam phone numbers. These databases are constantly being updated.

In addition to referencing databases, Call Wall verifies that the caller ID is truly the number calling you. This measure blocks any spoofed phone numbers.
